Filling in the fields:

Field A - Category (CATG)

The category field is where you will want to list your items. For example United States Mint is category 101. To find the category, simply go to the category on the website and the category code is the last three digits of the URL. Take a look:

http://www.auction.philatelic.com/os/category/AUCcur101.shtml?101

Enter the three digit category code in this field.

Field B - Quantity (QUAN)

This is how many you are auctioning. Most often 1.

Field C - Minimum Bid (MINB)

This is what you want the bidding to start at.

Field D - Bid Increments (INCR)

You may select your own bid increments per lot. For example, a lot opening at $1, and you expect to sell it for a few dollars, you would probably want bid increments to be .10 or .20 or even .25. Let's say you are selling a stamp worth $200 and you start at $100. You may want the bid increments to be $5 each. This is entirely up to you.

Field E - Scheme (SCHM)

This must be a capital AUC (for Auction)

Field F - Name (NAME)

This is your -most important- field. It can not be longer than 35 characters. This is what people will read from the category page, new items and featured items lists on the main page, and this is what may make people decide to click on your lot and read more about it, like the entire description. Do not fill in a generic name here such as "Great Britain". You would want to be as descriptive as possible.

Field G - Hot Item (HOTI)

This can be left blank. If you would like a lot listed as a Hot Item (There is a fee) you would put Y in this field.

Field H - Image (IMAG)

This is where you can list a FREE link to your own image at your own web location. Fill in the full url starting with http:// and your image will be displayed in the auction. Images must end with a .JPG or .GIF

Field I - Image 2

Not used with the template. Leave blank.

Field J - Image 3

Not used with the template. Leave blank.

Field K - Description

You can enter up to 1250 characters describing your lot. This is what people will read after clicking on your lot from field F (NAME). You can get very descriptive here and you can even use HTML.

Field L - Start Date (STRT)

This is when you want the lot to start. Must be in this format: 1998/10/01 00:01

Field M - End Date (ENDD)

This is when you want the lot to end. Must be in this format: 1998/10/01 00:01

Do not end more than 50 lots at the same minute.

Field N - Duration

Not used. Leave blank.

Field O - Catalog Number(s) (FLDA)

This is where you enter the catalog number(s). Can be left blank if unknown or if there is not a catalog number for your item.

Field P - Item Location (FLDB)

This field is required. You can enter a city, state, country, basically anything you want, but it is required to fill in. This is so people who may choose to bid on your item, will know where it is located in related to postage, etc.

Fields Q-Z

Not used. For future expansion

Field AA

Not used. For future expansion

Field AB - Catalog Value (NUMA)

This is where you can enter the catalog value of your lot.

Fields AC-BD including checkboxes

Not currently used. For future expansion. Leave blank

Field BE - Reserve Bid (RSRV)

This may be left blank. However, if you have a higher value item which you will accept bids on but will not accept less than your Reserve, fill in your Reserve here. The item bid form will indicate that there is a Reserve price, but it will not show the amount you choose.

OK! So now you are finished with a template. Now save the file as a .CSV (Excel Comma delimited file) and upload it from the Sellers Area by selecting 'Upload Spreadsheet'.
